James showed his support for the cancer charity Macmillan on Friday 29th September, as he attended a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Moneywatch Finance Halesowen.
Moneywatch Finance Partner Peter Hunt has recently recovered from prostate cancer, and the Coffee Morning raised £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support who help patients and their families. Peter discovered that he had prostate cancer when he went for a blood test after turning 60, and both he and James are encouraging other men to do the same.
“Macmillan are a very worthy charity to fundraise for, and it was great to spend some time at Moneywatch Finance as well as attending Macmillan’s Parliamentary Coffee Morning in Westminster recently", said James.
“After hearing Peter’s story, I would encourage anyone who has the symptoms of prostate cancer, or who has not been to the GP for a number of years, to get themselves tested so that they and their families can have peace of mind.”
Peter Hunt, Partner at Moneywatch Finance, added, “Moneywatch Finance felt honoured to host a Macmillan Charity Day at our Halesowen office which was supported by local MP James Morris, as well as friends, family, colleagues, and other business owners within Halesowen. A total of £700 has been raised so far.”
“We sincerely thank everyone who helped and donated, very much appreciated.”
