Halesowen & Rowley Regis MP, James Morris, presented leaving gifts to pupils at Halesbury Special School as they prepare for further education.
Four students at Halesbury Special School last week said ‘farewell’ to classmates and teachers as their time at the school came to an end.
James Morris MP attended the leaver’s assembly on Friday 19th June where a presentation of old pictures and videos were shown to mark the students time at the school.
Local MP James Morris said, “Halesbury Special School is a fantastic example of a school which really equips our young people with the skills and education they need. I was please to be able to present the leavers with their certificates and wish them well with what they choose to do.”
Headteacher Mrs King, who is retiring at the end of this term, added “The four young men who leave us now came to the school at different stages but leave as one group. We believe in them, though they will be challenged, they will achieve. We wish them good luck in their future adventures”.
Halesbury School has recently received an ofsted report of ‘good’ and has made significant improvements.
