James visited Halesowen Dental on today to support the clinic’s fundraising efforts for Macmillan Cancer Support.
As well as enjoying coffee and cake, James had the opportunity to tour the clinic and chat with staff about the work they offer, which includes general, preventative and cosmetic dentistry.
The Macmillan Coffee Mornings are usually held every year towards the end of September and is the biggest fundraising effort for the charity as they work to provide physical, practical and financial support for those with cancer, as well as supporting cancer workforces, researching into cancer care and influencing decision makers.
“I was delighted to be back at an in-person Macmillan Coffee Morning again after the difficulties caused by Covid 19 in recent years", said James. "I want to thank Halesowen Dental for their kind invitation, and for showing me around their clinic.
“Macmillan do a lot of good work in supporting people and families affected by cancer, and these annual coffee mornings are a great way of fundraising. Over £11m was raised for Macmillan in 2021 and hopefully this year will be even better.”
Amy Lewis, Practise Manager at Halesowen Dental added, “It was great to welcome James to Halesowen Dental recently, it gave us a chance to show him around the clinic and talk about the services we provide.
“We were finally able to hold our Macmillan Coffee Morning, having been constrained by the pandemic in the last couple of years, and we were pleased that James was able to come along and support our efforts. We raised £548.46 in total and, having lost my father to cancer earlier this year, I know that it will support the vital work carried out by Macmillan.”
