Dudley Council have announced plans to undertake a study for a large scale development to be placed on Halesowen's greenbelt.
This proposal raises real concerns about the impact on the greenbelt around Halesowen and the proximity of historic sites such as the Halesowen Abbey. Also the effects on local infrastructure such as the A456 and other local roads would be considerable, including the blighting of local housing.
Therefore Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP, James Morris, along with local Conservative Councillors, have started a petition to oppose any plans that Labour controlled Dudley Council have to build on Halesowen's greenbelt.
PETITION:
We the undersigned oppose any plans that Dudley Council have to build on Halesowen's greenbelt. We also oppose any plans to change Dudley Council's Core Strategy to include development sites on Halesowen's greenbelt.
These proposals raises real concerns about the impact on the greenbelt around Halesowen and the proximity of historic sites such as the Halesowen Abbey. Also the effects on local infrastructure such as the A456 and other local roads would be considerable, as well as blighting local housing.
